We love our Oxo food container pails which are great for transporting our food scraps from inside to our green organics bin outside.
Did you know that biobags are still considered a form of PLA and some composing facilities like Recology Vallejo don't accept them? Our local waste hauler would prefer we NOT put biobags in our compost because they still take a while to break down. But they still accept them.
Here's what we do... We skip the biobag. We haven't used them at home in years. (I might use them for parties but mostly because it helps signal to party goers that the bins purpose is for organics and food waste.) Save money and use paper to line the tub. Just make sure the paper is not shiny. Newspaper is perfect. Then dump the whole thing into your green bin straight. Yes, your green bin will get dirty. Yes, your green bin will get stinky over time. But it's a waste bin.
Sometimes we forget to line the pail with paper and food get stuck inside. It's fine. They're easy to wash. The lid is easy to remove and replace. The handle makes it easy to dump food waste out. Sometimes I'll even rinse it outside and then dump the water on our plants.
